My sweet little boy enjoying a relaxing bubble bath- it's the only time he ever sits still for more than 5 minutes!! To create my background, I cut 1" strips of 2 different pattern papers and then punched each strip with my Fiskars scallop punch. I inked up each strip with charcoal to help them stand out, and then layered them onto my cardstock base (MISTED first for the challenge at Little Red Wagon). A super easy way to create an interesting background, and a great way to use scraps too! And speaking of SCRAPS, I am entering this in this month's itinerary challenge at Desert Island Crafters Challenge (I am using glimmer mist, orange and scraps from the itinerary). I've placed my title, "Bubble Baths are AMAZING" (for the Bird is the Word challenge) on a Jenni Bowlin KRAFT journal spot for the challenge at Critter Sketch Challenge Blog.
I hope you'll visit the rest of the Lasting Memories DT to check out their fabulous entries, and be sure to link up your own DIY background by Saturday! =) T
PS I'm linking up this blog post with the "Made it Myself" linking party happeneing right now at You Had Me At Craft. Go over and check it out, there are some super cool projects linked up there!!
