Leap Frog!

Tuesday is my day to post at Crafting Family, and I have a frog-tastic page for you today! I've been a fan off all-things frog since I was a toddler and picked out my first frog T-shirt at a beach souvenir shop. Since last week was leap day, and we're now in a leap year, I decided to scrap this crazy pic of me and my new Kermit hat (thanks to my kiddos for this fabulous Xmas gift!).  =) T

I am also linking this up with the latest Linking Party over at Paper Issues- this time around it's all about the green, so I think this fits perfectly! =) T

All We Need is Love at Paper Issues!

There's a new theme up and running at Paper Issues, Love is all we need. Love is all we need!! It's one of our most favorite times of year...Valentine's Day! We are celebrating for a full month! Link up your paper crafted projects, new or not-so-new. Leave some blog love, mingle and make new friends. You have until February 14 to link up! Here's what I've created just for this lovely linking party:

Used some super yummy papers from Crate Paper's "Paper Heart" collection, you can check it out at the Paper Issues shop! The circle is cut from the red heart paper, the green stripe is the flip side of this fun patter. I punched 3/4" circles from the blue heart paper, cut the circles in half and adhered around the edge of the circle to give it a scalloped look. Hop on over to Paper Issues and check out some more fabulous Love-themed layouts that will really get you in the mood....to craft! The link up your projects, we'd love to see what you're working on!! =) T

January Challenge at The Craft Garden

A new year, a new month, and a new challenge at The Craft Garden. This month is all about monochrome projects, and Kerry has made some lovely book print flowers for this month's winner.
As you can see, I chose to pull the color green from the photo to use as my main color. I used green ink to stamp my background cardstock, layered scraps of green patterns and ribbons (great way to use up that stash), used green chipboard letters for the title and accented with a felt flower from Precocious Paper.

I hope you'll give the monochrome look a try, and be sure and link up your project with us at The Craft Garden by January 31st! =) T

We've Got Your Number at Paper Issues!

There's a new theme up at Paper Issues- perfect for this time of year of list-making and organizing, "We've Got Your Number". For this theme I linked up a layout from 2010 that I created for Punky Scraps:

Do you ever have those days when it feels like you never leave the kitchen? Well, I do, ALL.THE.TIME. I snapped a pic of me in front of the microwave and made a *slightly* exaggerated timeline of my daily kitchen "duties".

So, what's your number? We would love to see what numerical projects you've been working on so go on over to Paper Issues and link up!!! =) T

Guess Who's a Guest Designer at Scrap Our Stash???

yup, little old me!! I'm thrilled for the chance to be a guest designer over at Scrap Our Stash this month, the challenge blog that encourages you to use that stash. Whether it be cartloads of cardstock, a bonanza of buttons, or ridiculous ribbons, we all have plenty!! As part of my introduction over there, I turned to my stash of ribbons and buttons to create this layout- gasp, a 2-pager!!

Sorry for the flash reflected off the photo, that's what happend when you try and take a pic in bad lighting late at night! For this layout I used 6 scraps of green ribbon, and 6 green buttons. All the greens are a bit different, but I think it adds to the whimsy of the page not being so matchy-matchy.

I hope you'll have a chance to stop on over at Scrap Our Stash, say hello and maybe dig into your own stash for a bit of creating! I'm also linking this up at Paper Issues "Holiday Madness" Linking party- if you're looking for creative holiday crafting ideas, this is the place to go! =) T

Xmas Treats for Crafting Family

While I did enjoy my Thanksgiving vacation to Tennessee, I missed my craft room terribly! I've been back in there non-stop since my return, and have the first of many projects to share with you!

Today's LO is one I made for Crafting Family- Tuesday is my day to post. I've created this LO with the help of a few challenges- the color scheme is from Lasting Memories, Karen has posted a fabulous quilt with vibrant pinks, purples and reds as inspiration. I also used a great sketch from The Scrappiest and will be linking this up at the Holiday Madness linking party at Paper Issues! =) T

Fabulous Fall

There's a new theme up at Paper Issues, "Thankful for Fall". A few weeks ago we had an absolutely gorgeous warm fall day, and my niece and I spent the afernoon raking leaves. Well, I was raking, she was jumping! Snapped a few great pictures and created a "Fabulous Fall" layout to remember the day:

This was one of those ridiculously quick pages to put together, don't you love those? Started with this gorgous pattern paper from Close to my Heart- I trimmed a 3" strip from the center and flipped it over and taped it in place to reveal the orange pattern on the reverse. I added a 1/2" strip of blue that was also trimmed from the same piece of paper- it's the flip side of the barcode, cool huh? The I just lined up my photos along the blue stip, leaving my focal photo slightly larger and matting it in a scrap of pale orange to help the photo stand out. Added 3 brads, a tab for the date, stamped "Fabulous" and covered it with glitter, and wrote in "fall". Simple layout done in under 20 minutes!

Are you working on any "Thankful for Fall" projects? Link it up over at Paper Issues, anything goes as long as you use paper!! =) T

I'm almost at 200 followers- time for some BLOG CANDY!!!

That's right, I'm almost at 200...so i thought it time for a little giveaway! Read on for more info....

Time for a new sketch with a twist over at Twisted Sketches, it's a good one, so you'll have to go over there to check it out!! Here's the LO I created for the challenge:

Few fun things to note about my layout: First up, check out my crazy husband on the tiny bike!! When I found out the twist for the Twisted Sketches challenge was TINY, I decided these pics just had to be scrapped... See my crazy messy scallops along the border? These of course were DOODLED for the challenge at City Crafter. I kinda like the scallops, but I have a feeling my son (who always asks, "why do you have to make your projects so messy") will NOT agree.

The border across the top of my title is made with JOURNAL SPOTS chopped in half- makes a fun kinda uneven border, and a great way to use up that stash (for the Scrapbookers Anonymous challenge). Now do you see that jumbo flower? Well, first it's for the FLOWER challenge at Scrap Fit. Secondly, I upcycled that sweet little flower from kraft packing materials, and enjoyed making it so much, I made bunches and bunches of them in all sorts of sizes!! I posted them for sale on my Etsy Shop (beware, I am in the middle of creating a ton of goodies, so it is VERY slim pickings there, more to come soon, I promise!!) and I have a set to give away too!!

So...would you like a chance to win a package of my Paper Posies? Just be a follower and leave a comment for me. I will select one commenter at random once I reach 200 followers, bonus entry for you if you post the pic of my Paper Posies on your blog and tell about my little teeny tiny blog candy!! Thanks for stopping by today! =) T

Challenges:
-Twisted Sketches sketch +tiny
-Scrapbookers Anonymous journal spots
-ScrapFIT flowers
-City Crafter doodle
