Time to Get Twisted!

It's time for a new sketch over at Twisted Sketches. You'll have to go over there to see the sketch for yourself, but I can give you a bit of a peek by showing you the layout I created:

Since the twist this week is flowers, I added a great chipboard flower embellie that I've had in the stash for a while. I've also included a few items as part of the "Get Picky" challenge at Punky Scraps (no pattern paper, book page, tape and masking). Now hop on over to Twisted Sketches and check out the sketch, as well as the great takes from the rest of the DT! =) T

Xmas Treats for Crafting Family

While I did enjoy my Thanksgiving vacation to Tennessee, I missed my craft room terribly! I've been back in there non-stop since my return, and have the first of many projects to share with you!

Today's LO is one I made for Crafting Family- Tuesday is my day to post. I've created this LO with the help of a few challenges- the color scheme is from Lasting Memories, Karen has posted a fabulous quilt with vibrant pinks, purples and reds as inspiration. I also used a great sketch from The Scrappiest and will be linking this up at the Holiday Madness linking party at Paper Issues! =) T

Three for Thursday

Have a few projects to share with you today! First up is a layout I created for Crafting Family for last week's post featuring my crazy cat and her odd places to choose to nap:

Next up I have this week's layout for Crafting Family. I had 6 photos of my 2 kiddos and 4 nieces painting in the craft room, and decided to print them all wallet-size in order to fit them on one page.

And my third project to share with you is this week's layout for Twisted Sketches. This week the twist is "white", so I followed the sketch with a jumbo white circle, did my title on white CS, added a chipboard flourish and made a fun scalloped border in white for my photo.

Thanks for visiting! =)T

Goodbye to Triplicate Trials Tuesday!

It's the farewell post over at Triplicate Trials Tuesday, Rochelle has decided it's time to close up shop and move on to other crafty endeavors. I am sad to see this triple-threat challenge go, and want to give Rochelle a big thanks for all she did in creating the challenge blog and giving me the chance to be one of her Triple T designers! I even had the opportunity to create 3 of the challenges, which was so much fun!

There are two last-hurrah challenges up today, and I created a layout for this beauty:

Here's what I came up with:

Stop by and bid a fond farewell to the rest of the Triple-T girls, I know they'll be glad you did! =)T

Fabulous Fall

There's a new theme up at Paper Issues, "Thankful for Fall". A few weeks ago we had an absolutely gorgeous warm fall day, and my niece and I spent the afernoon raking leaves. Well, I was raking, she was jumping! Snapped a few great pictures and created a "Fabulous Fall" layout to remember the day:

This was one of those ridiculously quick pages to put together, don't you love those? Started with this gorgous pattern paper from Close to my Heart- I trimmed a 3" strip from the center and flipped it over and taped it in place to reveal the orange pattern on the reverse. I added a 1/2" strip of blue that was also trimmed from the same piece of paper- it's the flip side of the barcode, cool huh? The I just lined up my photos along the blue stip, leaving my focal photo slightly larger and matting it in a scrap of pale orange to help the photo stand out. Added 3 brads, a tab for the date, stamped "Fabulous" and covered it with glitter, and wrote in "fall". Simple layout done in under 20 minutes!

Are you working on any "Thankful for Fall" projects? Link it up over at Paper Issues, anything goes as long as you use paper!! =) T

Anything Goes at 2 Sisters

The challenge this week at 2 Sisters Challenge Blog is "Anything Goes" and the DT was able to use some sweet images from Patty's Creations. I used a cute little polar bear image to create my project:

I'm sorry about his eyes looking a little creepy here, I promise you it's just the picture! In real life he is sweet, but the way the camera picked up the glitter and embossing made his eyes look funny... I hope you'll visit the rest of the DT over at 2 Sisters, and be sure to link up your "anything goes" project too! =) T

Challenges:
-2 Sisters anything goes
-ScrapFIT tags
-Pink Elephant gift tags
-Crafty Catz use a digital image

Catch-Up Time

Hello and happy Friday! Time for me to play catch up again, and share all my most recent DT entries! First up I have this month's layout for the challenge at Black With Two. This month Eve has asked us to use Black+lime+cream. I love these challenges because it gets me to scrap out of my comfort zone. I would never think to use this color scheme, but it really works and I love what I came up with. Also, I incorporated  sketch #125 from Twisted Sketches, and used a fabulous posie from Precocious Papers.

Next up....there's a new song up at Scrap It With a Song, Adele's "Rolling in the Deep". I had a few pics of my kiddos at a local pool this summer, and decided to go with "off the deep end" as my title:

And finally I have this week's LO and sketch over at Sketches in Thyme. I am the proud designer of this week's sketch and think it's a pretty good one to work with.

I hope you'll have a chance to check out these fabulous challenge blogs and see all the great work from the Design Teams. Link up your own takes too, I'd love to see what you come up with!! =) T

Time to Get Twisted

If you love a good sketch, you just have to give Twisted Sketches a try!! Anam designs fabulous sketches each week, paired with a cool twist. Here's my LO for last week's assignment; the twist was "feathers", so I tucked a little orange feather from the kiddos' art supplies behind my little journal spot. =) T

A Nap Time Triple T Project

There's a new challenge up at Triplicate Trials Tuesday, it's a triple challenge of color scheme, sketch and theme, "Time of your Life":

Here's my contribution:

I flipped the sketch to make it work with the cardstock I was using. It had this great printed background that would have been covered up if I put the pics on the right. I used "nap time" as my title to incorporate the "Time of your Life" theme, and added an embossed clock as a fun time accent. I hope you'll have a chance to see the rest of the great DT inspiration, and link up your own take at Triplicate Trials Tuesday! =) T

It's a Snowy November 1st Here!

Hello crafty friends! Hope this November 1st finds you warm and toasty in your little part of the world. Here in New England we celebrated Halloween in our snow boots with a foot of snow, and my kiddos are already on snow day #2 from school! In the spirit of the *LOVELY* weather here, I have a few snowy projects to share with you today:

First up I have my weekly LO for The Crafting Family using some lovely papers and chipboard letters from Pink Paislee. I'm also combining this with the new link theme over at Paper Issues, Snow Day!

Over at The Craft Garden, this month's challenge is Christmas, but you can't use red or green. I made a batch of snowman gift tags for the challenge:

Hope it's warm where you are today! =) T
